Austria becomes a member of the EBICS Association

With the accession of STUZZA, the Austrian banking industry is participating in the common standard for electronic payment transactions.

The French banks had decided in 2010 and most recently the Swiss banking world in 2015 to promote the electronic banking standard, once developed for the German banking industry, nationally and throughout Europe through their membership in the EBICS Association. Now, with Austria another important member follows.

The Austrian banking industry is represented in the EBICS Association by STUZZA, the Studiengesellschaft für Zusammenarbeit im Zahlungsverkehr GmbH. Analogous to Die Deutsche Kreditwirtschaft (DK), STUZZA sees itself as a platform and contact for topics concerning payment transactions in Austria.

With the membership of STUZZA, EBICS takes a big step towards a pan-European standard for secure electronic payment transactions.

We, as a software manufacturer for EBICS, are of course pleased about this further positive development, especially since we have been serving Austrian credit institutions and companies as customers for many years.
